What is FeelDouro?
FeelDouro is a BBDouro Group company dedicated to nautical tourism on the Douro River.
It offers its clients differentiated and tailor-made experiences, allowing them to use its boats privately or with friends, family or professional collaborators, for trips and journeys on the Douro River, accompanied by a professional crew.
Where is FeelDouro based?
FeelDouro has its main base at Douro Marina, in Vila Nova de Gaia, and a second base in Pinhão, in the municipality of Alijó.
What programs does FeelDouro have?
FeelDouro offers various programs ranging from 2 hours to 7 days, during which each client can select different alternatives for discovering Porto and the Douro Valley.
In addition to the predefined itineraries, FeelDouro also prepares unique programs tailored to each client.
What are the characteristics of FeelDouro boats?
Our fleet of boats can carry 10 to 16 passengers and are the best way to discover the Douro region and its cultural history and landscape.
Do the boats have rooms that allow you to sleep on board?
Although all our boats have at least one cabin, overnight stays on board are not permitted on any of our programs.
How can I book a program?
If you wish to make a pre-booking, please send an e-mail with your request to info@feeldouro.com.
Reservations will only be considered confirmed upon receipt of proof of payment of 50% of the total amount of the chosen program, with the remaining 50% being paid up to 48 hours before departure.
Payment can be made by credit card, bank transfer or cash.
What is included in the price of cruising programs?
The price of our programs includes VAT, fuel, crew, lock passage and insurance.
How far in advance should I book?
You can make your reservation as little as 24 hours in advance, but this is always subject to availability, so the sooner you make it, the greater the guarantee of availability.
Can I change my initial booking?
Changes to reservations are allowed, i.e. changes of name, address, total number of passengers, departure date or program duration.
No date changes will be accepted after 24 hours prior to departure.
Changes to the initial booking may be subject to a revision of the amounts initially stipulated for the selected program, particularly when the change has to do with choosing a more expensive program or one with more participants.
What is the cancellation policy?
Up to 48 hours before departure: 50% of the total price of the chosen program.
Between 48 and 24 hours before departure: 100% of the total price of the chosen program.
After 24 hours before departure or No-show on the day of departure: 100% of the total price of the chosen program.
FeelDouro may also add to the cancellation costs any charges it has to bear for this reason, namely with regard to transport, accommodation, food and/or any other services contracted from external companies, when directly related to the program in question and non-refundable.
The company reserves the right to cancel, postpone or alter any trip or itinerary for any reason, including a ban on navigation by the waterway regulator, adverse weather conditions, mechanical problems, strikes or work stoppages, medical emergencies and local holidays, among other reasons, without penalty to FeelDouro.
Do children pay the same as adults?
The figures shown are per boat.
Regardless of their age, children are considered for the purposes of the boat’s capacity.
All children under the age of 18 on the day of boarding must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult over the age of 18.
As far as on-board meals are concerned, children up to the age of 2 don’t pay and between the ages of 3 and 10 pay 50% of the price.
Where are departures and arrivals made?
Our programs depart and arrive at one of our two bases: the Douro Marina or the FeelDouro pier in Pinhão.
Occasionally, at the client’s request, and depending on a prior assessment on a case-by-case basis, they may be carried out at another pier.
Is smoking allowed on the boats?
No. You can only smoke in the outdoor deck area.
Are pets allowed on board?
Only guide dogs are allowed to accompany blind citizens.
What are the rules/restrictions in terms of clothing?
Nudism and toplessness are not allowed.
Is it possible to dive?
Yes, but only when the boat is immobilized and after advice and authorization from the crew.
Diving is strictly forbidden when the boat is underway or maneuvering.
Feeldouro is not responsible for any accident outside the boat.
Are there drinks on board?
Yes, you can find non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks.
FeelDouro reserves the right not to offer alcoholic beverages to anyone under the age of 18 or to anyone who is notoriously drunk or appears to have a mental disorder.
